Which Program is Right for You?
Over the years, the federal government and every province and territory of Canada have taken very effective steps to attract immigrants to Canada. One of these steps is the introduction of various economic immigration routes, so that there are currently more than 100 active immigration programs in Canada.
The goal of these programs is to facilitate the migration of a wide range of applicants, which in turn can bring a variety of skills and contribute to the country’s economic growth.
The Canadian Immigration System welcomes permanent residents of Canada in three main streams:
- Economic Class
- Family Sponsorship
- Protected Person
Among these streams, the economic class has the largest share of immigration to Canada. Most economic migrants are either skilled workers applying from abroad or temporary workers and international students living in Canada.
